Compensation range: $110,000 - $130,000 Annually  

 

The base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. Actual total compensation will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience and qualifications.

Position Summary

Location: Santa Clara, CA (on-site)

Hours: Day shift, Monday - Friday

 

The Installation Manager is responsible for all field installations and ensures that all company and departmental processes and procedures are followed.  Acts as point of contact for Sales, Project Management and external customers.  Works closely with scheduling and estimation to ensure that all installations are efficient and profitable.   

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of 70+ Installers that includes temporary staff
  • Hires staff, tracks attendance and performs performance reviews accordingly
  • Works closely with Operations Dispatchers and Schedulers on allocation of resources
  • Attend pre-install and project planning meetings
  • Work with Estimation Team on labor quotes for installation services to maintain competitive pricing based on industry standards
  • Maintain a high level of internal/external customer satisfaction by ensuring that crews meet or exceeds the customer expectations
  • Ensures all furniture is installed per manufacturer guidelines and specifications
  • Manage and track all costs for installation equipment, materials and supplies
  • Responsible for field/in-house technical training, coaching, disciplining and mentoring for Supervisors, Leads, Drivers and Installers
  • Attend Safety Committee Meetings and oversee safety training and safety awareness for field employees. In addition, provide all field employees with the required safety PPE’s
  • Ensure all projects are completed accurately and on time
  • Resolve any billing issues with project managers or salespersons. Manage overtime and ensure that payroll is directly related to project billing

Qualifications:

 

Education/Experience

Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) or equivalent from a technical school; or a minimum of five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Proven management and leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop others
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of and experience with project cost management
  • Extensive knowledge of furniture installation and the furniture industry
  • Must be extremely organized with good time management skills, and proven ability in juggling priorities and developing creative solutions to meet demands
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and ability to learn internal system
  • Strong judgment skills with the ability to make decisions quickly and with limited information
  • Must have the ability to work at a faster than average pace due to the ever-changing needs in Installation.
  • Ability to travel to work sites
  • Emphasis on removing bias in decisions related to promoting, hiring, leading, training and coaching team members
  • Advocate for diverse perspectives and model inclusive behavior
  • Influence others to promote, embrace and progress an inclusive environment

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to walk distances within the warehouse, office and client locations
  • Seeing, color perception, hearing/listening, clear speech

Work Environment

Regularly works with others, has both face-to-face and over the phone contact with others and can work around electrical equipment.  Occasionally works a different shift, may work outside or in extreme heat or cold, may work around noise (forklifts, trucks and power tools) and mechanical equipment, moving objects and /or dust and dirt.
