Compensation range: $85,000 - $96,000 yearly

 

The base salary will be determined based on your location, experience and the pay of employees in similar positions. Actual total compensation will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience and qualifications.

 

 

Location: Santa Clara (hybrid on-site 3 days)

Position Summary

The HR Generalist will serve as a first point of contact for both employees and managers. This role supports various HR processes, projects, and initiatives. This includes working closely with the HRBP team interpreting and applying company policies and procedures; assisting with HRBP projects and initiatives; supporting employee relations issues; supporting onboarding and assisting employees with HR related questions. The HR Generalist partners with the HRBP team to promote a positive workplace culture while ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

HR Support:

·        Serve as a valued resource for both employees and managers regarding all aspects of the employment life cycle, including but not limited to: Job performance, benefits, compensation, training and development, complaints, and grievances.

·        Answer employee related questions around onboarding, benefits, policies, and basic guidance.

·        Will support the HRBP team with administrative tasks.

·        May serve as a back-up for bi-weekly employee orientations.

Employee Relations:

·        Serve as first point of contact for HR related questions and concerns.

·        Coach and provide guidance to employees and managers with people and performance management principles and practices.

Compliance:

·        Ensure that HR and company policies are followed and adhered to in accordance with applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations.

·        Responsible for completing employment verifications of new hires.

Organizational Development:

·        Be an active proponent of and supporter of corporate change initiatives and training.

Projects:

·        Assist with various projects and research as needed.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

·        A diverse HR background, covering the areas and disciplines described above.

·        Proven ability/experience with performance management and coaching of leaders.

·        Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

·        Working knowledge and experience with current employment and labor laws, at the federal, state, and local/municipality levels.

·        Ability to work independently in ambiguous situations with shifting priorities.

·        Ability to promote an inclusive, respectful, and engaging workplace culture aligned with organizational values. 

·        Strong people skills with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels. 

·        Strong technical skills – i.e., with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field with at least 3 years of relevant work experience or equivalent HR work experience. HR certification (PHR/SHRM-CP) preferred. Experience with ADP a plus. Ability to speak and write Spanish a plus.

 

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Regularly collaborates with others via phone, email, video meeting tools (i.e., Zoom/Teams), and in-person. Generally, works in an office environment with moderate noise.
  • This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days in our Santa Clara, CA office (typically T, W, Th).
