Compensation range: $81,957 - $96,457 Annually  

 

The base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. Actual total compensation will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience and qualifications.

Position Summary

Location: San Jose, CA (on-site)

Hours: Early Day shift, Monday - Friday 5:30am-2:00pm 

 

The Inventory Control Supervisor manages and leads the activities of the onsite inventory control team, ensuring that all products are properly stored, tracked, and accounted for at all times. Assists Warehouse Manager in daily tasks and/or current projects to support the servicing of the client, and growth of the team. Applies knowledge and skills to assist with cross-functional tasks and provide recommendations for the warehouse operations. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Maintains accurate inventory records and performs daily maintenance tasks to ensure data integrity
  • Authorizes all adjustments made to the inventory and addresses any customer requests regarding products, etc.
  • Evaluates and implements current processes as necessary to ensure accurate completion of assigned work by set timelines. 
  • Ensures rapid, accurate movement and processing of product and/or paperwork.
  • Documents and maintains performance data to identify production gaining opportunities within the daily operations and provide feedback to leadership regarding any inefficiencies.
  • Investigates and resolves discrepancies in a timely manner, identifying root causes, and providing follow-up for areas of improvement.
  • Reviews invoices from suppliers to ensure that all orders are received accurately and processed in accordance with company policies.
  • Supervises and trains employees on proper inventory management techniques as needed -  implements and maintains all policies/procedures related to inventory control.
  • Tracks all inventory within management systems and produces inventory reporting as requested by the customer base.
  • Responsible for ensuring projects and daily operational tasks stay on track with established deadlines, with data and tracking to illustrate successes and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensures effective application of work methods, procedures, and controls to achieve accurate and safe completion of assigned tasks, paperwork, and spreadsheets.
  • Maintains warehouse in a safe and organized manner, while accounting for all safe work method procedures.
  • Escalates any safety concerns as they arise and offers efficient solutions to resolve or mitigate risks.
  • Supports the Furniture Project Team’s requirements, schedules, and requests.
  • Serves on committees and task forces as necessary, and leads with other projects, functions and tasks as assigned by management.
  • Attends and/or hosts training on safety, process, new technology, and warehouse equipment. 
  • Hosts and/or contributes to daily communication meetings and warehouse team huddles as needed.
  • Drives short-term and long-term warehouse goals and/or objectives set forth by management.

 

Qualifications:

 

Education/Experience

High School diploma or general education degree (GED), associate’s degree in business or related field preferred; 5+ years previous experience in a warehouse environment. Must have at least 4 years of forklift and/or order picker experience.

  • Fully proficient with all inventory management systems (Snaptracker, Ensync)
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient organizational skills and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask, manage time, and work well under pressure
  • Knowledge of advanced warehouse functions and processes
  • Proficient with operating non-power (pallet jacks, carts, hand trucks), powered equipment (order pickers, forklifts), and any other tools utilized in warehouse operations
  • Fully comprehends quality standards and inspection procedures
  • Works well independently and has strong time management, and organization skill
  • Demonstrates professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated and works well independently as necessary 
  • Knowledge of multiple office furniture systems - including assembly, terminology and functionality.  
  • Proficient with MS Office programs and/or Google Suite
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include managing overtime shifts and/or working a different shift to meet the demand of the customer(s)

 

Physical Requirements

Seeing, color and depth perception, hearing/listening, clear speech, touching, ability to move distances within and between warehouses/offices, ability to mount and dismount forklift/truck, pushing/pulling, ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.  Must be physically able to become licensed to operate material handling equipment at elevated locations.

 

Work Environment

Generally works in a warehouse environment with moderate noise, changing temperatures,

and around mechanical equipment and moving objects.  May be required to work different shifts and work hours; may work alone or with a team; in moderate heat or cold, around dirt/dust.
