Pair is looking for a builder, a sales leader who thrives on creating new opportunities, establishing market presence, and scaling a business. As Director of Furniture Sales, you’ll be responsible for growing our footprint into a true regional player by building distribution channels, hiring and managing rep groups, and developing deep relationships with end-users across the Western U.S. and key Northeast markets.  This role is about more than sales -  it’s about building the business, shaping strategy, and laying the foundation for long-term success.

 

Compensation range: $150,000.05 - $200,000 Annually, Management bonus 

 

The base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. Actual total compensation will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience and qualifications.

Location:  Flexible within the Western U.S. or Northeast (NY/Boston focus)

 

Position Summary

What You’ll Do

  • Build the Business:  Develop and execute a growth plan to expand Pair into new regions and market segments.
  • Develop and lead a team: Build a team of sales professionals to represent the brand in key markets. 
  • Establish Market Presence:  Identify opportunities, open doors, and position our brand as a go-to solution for dealers, rep groups, and end-users.
  • Hire & Lead Rep Groups: Recruit, develop, and manage high-performing rep groups across the Western region and key Northeast markets.
  • Drive Sales Channels:  Build and strengthen partnerships with distributors, dealers, and design firms.
  • Engage End-Users:  Develop direct relationships with corporate clients and end-users to generate pull-through demand.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally:  Work closely with marketing, product, and operations to align strategies and deliver a seamless client experience.
  • Measure & Scale:  Track performance, refine the strategy, and scale successful approaches into repeatable models across regions.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience building sales channels in the commercial furniture industry (manufacturer, dealer, or rep group).
  • Experience in custom furniture design, and co-design experience.
  • Experience in leading a team and developing high performers.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset - comfortable creating structure, strategy, and process where none exists.
  • Strong network and relationships with dealers, distributors, A&D firms, and end-users.
  • Experience hiring and leading rep groups across multiple territories.
  • Strategic yet hands-on - equally comfortable in a design firm and in front of clients.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Willingness to travel to grow the business.
