Compensation: $69,000K - $73,000K/Annually

Position Summary

Location: Sacramento, CA

 

The Operations Services Supervisor oversees all dispatched resources to ensure adequate manpower, product and equipment are available.  Supervises all Installation Leads, Installers, Delivery Drivers and Service Technicians.  Ensures high quality installations in compliance with manufacturer’s specifications, while exceeding customer’s expectations and meeting budgets.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provides adequate AM daily dispatch support to include reallocation of manpower and availability of equipment and trucks
  • Monitors day of scope of work additions to already scheduled jobs and/or new last-minute project support (manpower updates)
  • Resolves product/will call issues
  • Address and/or resolves driver return issues
  • Attend pre-install meetings and job walks to determine manpower and best utilization of resources for maximum efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Conducts daily job audits and ensures that all company and departmental processes and procedures are met
  • Participates in the onboarding of new hires ensuring they are trained and introduced to the company/department policies, procedures and culture
  • Supervises the performance of Leads, Installers, Delivery Drivers and Service Technicians, to include coaching, mentoring, performance evaluations, corrective actions and accident/injury reporting
  • Responsible for department timekeeping and payroll accuracy and submittal
  • Liaison between Warehouse personnel and management
  • Responsible for overall safety of department personnel and compliance with OSHA and local safety codes
  • Utilizes and develops job packet information to make improvements in the communication and quality of installation work in order to better support our internal departments and clients
  • Assists Installation billing with post installation packets to ensure capturing all potential billings
  • Takes an active, improvement role in “maximizing resources” with service and delivery
  • Trains lead installers on planning, paperwork, cost management, installation and on-site leadership. Also trains, mentors and develops all levels of installation crew
  • Ensures leads complete daily required forms & ship tickets

 

Qualifications:

Education/Experience

Associates degree or 2-5 years of equivalent experience in furniture installation and supervision.

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to lead, manage and train a team
  • Understands driver safety requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and ability to learn internal systems (Hedberg, Hilti, Smartsheets, MxT, ADP & Samsara)
  • Strong judgment/decision making skills with the ability to work independently with little or no supervision
  • Extensive knowledge of furniture installation and the furniture industry
  • Exceptional customer service skills and ability to provide solutions
  • Must be committed to the mentorship and development of others
  • Ability to motivate and provide a positive impact to all team members

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to walk distances within the warehouse, office and client locations
  • Job involves bending, stooping, climbing, mount and dismount forklift/truck
  • Seeing, color perception, hearing/listening, clear speech

 

Work Environment

Regularly works alone or with others, has both face to face and over the phone contact with others, works around electrical equipment. Occasionally works a different shift including weekends, may work inside or outside in extreme hot or cold, may work around noise and mechanical equipment, moving objects, fumes/odors and dust/dirt.
