Position Summary

Location:  two – San Francisco

Hours:  Monday - Friday, Day shift 

 

The Senior Creative Specialist manages the interior ancillary portion of two project deliverables: this includes managing client and internal two relationships with the client experience and project management teams. The Creative Specialist shall strive for exceptional curation of furniture, lead the programming with clients to understand their user needs and develop concepts and solutions that meet those needs, guiding the process for customized and unique ancillary product solutions.  The Senior Creative Specialist will represent the two brand to the A&D community, as well as champion the brand with junior team members.  The Creative Specialist works within a team led by the Creative Manager.  They will provide training to Creative Associates and mentoring to Creative Specialists.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Full awareness of ancillary options regarding lead times, budgetary constraints, and the ability to source alternates as needed
  • Ability to put together accurate pricing on ancillary and conference room furniture and accessories, working with the Client Experience team to develop both ROM and Working budgets
  • Development of best practices and templates regarding ancillary solutions related to budgeting, auditing, project deliverables, client communications, installation and Day 2 new.
  • Ability to accurately space plan ancillary spaces showing an exceptional understanding of applicable building codes, ADA regulations and standard clearances, and National Electrical Codes.  Able to speak confidently with designers, contractors and clients on the best furniture layouts that meet all of these requirements / standards.
  • Strong capabilities with AutoCAD and the ability to read and understand floor plans; dimension space plans; plot furniture plans; take field measures - recognize as built vs. plan inconsistencies and relay to designer, CEM and client; update furniture plans to include appropriate scaled furniture blocks, furniture tags; lay out furniture as needed; revise furniture plans as needed
  • Ability to comfortably present and communicate to all levels working within a project - from junior and fellow team members to various stakeholders.
    • Ability to facilitate design development with the client and project team
    • Ability to convey to ProView specific instructions and revisions on furniture plans, renderings, budgets, validation packets
  • Working Pinterest account or use of Two Furnish Pinterest account; create project boards; create product boards for Two Furnish
  • Working knowledge of Dropbox, Box or as needed for project file management
  • Exceptional understanding of standard dimensions ensuring that furniture is appropriately scaled for both the space as well as within each furniture grouping, including the ability to place and combine existing furniture inventory as the project scope requires
  • Ownership for and production of exceptional project deliverables including: thoughtstarters, look books, validation packages, vignettes, space plans, installation & close-out packages, and selection and procurement of finishes.
    • Ability to create deliverables following the standard format including creating furniture vignette layouts but with an increased array of graphic skills to utilize beyond basic available programs (such as PowerPoint)
    • Ability to manipulate and modify images to convey superior furniture vignettes.
  • Exceptional communications and project management skills assessing that all ancillary options suggested meet budget, lead time and design aesthetics, and proactively addressing alternative options and solutions when ancillary selections do not meet these restrictions.
  • Along with the Creative Manager, develop ancillary approach for all RFPs and business presentations.
  • Develop and maintain a strong relationship with a variety of vendors, manufacturers and reps; look for opportunities to negotiate with vendors and suppliers for competitive pricing and discounts beyond standard or preferred discounts.
  • Up-to-date knowledge on workplace trends and knowledge of a range of furniture products appropriate for a variety of functions, spaces, aesthetics and budgets.  Sharing of such knowledge internally within two as well as externally with the design community through presentations and events.
  • Understanding of skills/features/benefits of a variety of Two furniture partners to find the best resource for custom furniture manufacturing; ability to direct furniture fabricator on design intent of the custom furniture piece; ability to review shop drawings and provide feedback.
  • Developing a training plan, managing and training of Creative Associates and mentoring of Creative Specialists

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s (BA) Degree
  • 6-10 years’ design or furniture dealer experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of Steelcase products and Systems furniture
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel is required
  • Experience in additional software ideal: Photoshop, CAD
  • Must have understanding and passion for interior design, and ability to represent the two brand
  • Strong project management skills and ability to juggle multiple projects at a time, delivering on schedule
  • Exceptional Customer Service skills with a passion to provide solutions to meet the client’s needs

  • Product knowledge; excellent customer service skills; professional oral and written communication skills; strong organizational and time management skills; basic math skills; attention to detail; self-motivation; resourcefulness; ability to function in team environment; positive and professional attitude.
  • Knowledge of internal ordering systems desired.
  • Critical contributor to team effort by working closely with CEM to serve diverse and sometimes difficult and demanding clients. This person will face unexpected problems and deadlines as well as numerous interruptions.
  • Must communicate effectively, be organized and take initiative while having a positive attitude. All responsibilities to be performed with varying amounts of supervision and a high level of self-motivation.

Physical Requirements

Seeing, color perception, hearing/listening, clear speech, hand and finger dexterity, ability to move distances within and between warehouses/offices, driving. Complex reading and writing, basic math skills, judgment/decision making, analysis/comprehension

 

Work Environment

Regularly works with others and has both face-to-face and verbal contact, usually works inside.  Occasionally works alone and does work outside.  May also work around moving objects.  Generally, works in an office environment with moderate noise.
