    Overview:  Designer


     


    The Designer is responsible for collaborating and consulting with Pair Manufacturer Representatives, dealer representatives (both sales and design), outside clients and designers.  The Specialist will own the design process- understanding user needs and translating and interpreting into a Pair solution.  Solutions may involve customization of existing lines, development of new products and components that support the client requirement.  The Designer may integrate engineering and product design into the process to further tailor the solution for the client. The Designer will own the solution up to the point of mock-up and order, ensuring what was designed meets the client goals through to production. 


     


    Responsibilities:



    • Manage Pair design process from project kick-off to point of order

    • Guide and manage clients through the design and application process

    • Digitally and hand sketch concepts to communicate design concepts and ideas

    • Curate and specify all design details for a project

    • Work with engineering and product design to develop product components and engineer details

    • Maintain a deep understanding of the growing and evolving Pair product portfolio

    • Develop and maintain 2D and 3D CAD blocks of Pair products

    • Develop and provide 2D CAD blocks of custom Pair product for interior and dealer designer’s use

    • Develop applications using standard and developing custom Pair products to meet and exceed client needs

    • Coordinate and curate sample/finish packs when requested by designers

    • Maintain a deep understanding of finish and materiality capabilities of each Pair product

    • Coordinate with rendering team to produce application and component renderings

    • Spec check user, component, and configuration counts from POs

    • Confirm/ check electrical specs and requirements

    • Develop and manage project validation packages


     


    Qualifications:


     


    Education/Experience



    • 3 years minimum of relevant design experience

    • Bachelors’ Degree in Interior Design or Architecture

    • Proficiency in a variety of software: AutoCAD, CET Designer, Google Sketchup, Powerpoint, Word, Excel.

     Physical Requirements



    • Seeing, color perception, hearing/listening, clear speech, hand and finger dexterity, and ability to travel to project site(s)

    • Complex reading and writing skills, basic math skills, judgment/decision making, analysis/comprehension

    • Proficient in English language (reading, writing, speaking)


     Working Environment



    • Regularly works in the office and attends customer meetings

    • Works in a fast-paced environment with moderate noise

    • Nature of work may require some time spent out of the office
