    Interior Designer / Space Planner – two

    San Francisco, CA

    Overview

    The Designer manages design portion of two project deliverables, this to include managing client and internal two relationships with sales & project management teams. The Designer shall strive for exceptional design of client spaces, exceeding client expectations of all deliverables while supporting the two brand. The Designer reports directly to the Design Director.

    Responsibilities:

    • Support a variety of project sizes
    • Support/Manage client’s design related experience
    • Meet with customers to gather project information (surveys, interviews, data collection, observations)
    • Produce and present design concepts to internal and external clients
    • Perform field measures, product inventory and product research
    • Produce block plans, space plans, finish palettes, furniture specifications, and installation drawings
    • Manage project hours
    • May perform project audits for other designers

    Qualifications:

     

    Education/Experience

    • Bachelor’s (BA) Degree in Interior or Architectural Design from college or university

    • 3-5 years’ design experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience

     

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

    • Knowledge of Steelcase products and/or Systems furniture
    • Experience in additional software ideal: CET Designer, CAP, Google Sketchup, PhotoShop, PowerPoint
    • Must have understanding of CAD and graphic design
    • Strong project management skills and ability to juggle multiple programs at a time to deliver on deadline
    • Exceptional Customer Service skills with a passion to provide solutions to client needs
    • You like communicating with others through face-to-face interaction

     

    Physical Requirements

    • Seeing, color perception, hearing/listening, clear speech, touching (dexterity)
    • Stand and sit for extended periods; operate computers, and other ancillary office equipment
    • Complex reading and writing skills, basic math skills, judgment/decision making, analysis/comprehension
